Traditionally shaped caskets with sustainable origins in the DomPost

Dean Taylor of TaylorMade furniture in the Wairarapa is featured in the Business section of  Monday’s Dominion Post.  They have recently started to produce reasonably priced, solid wood caskets which they supply to funeral homes in the North Island. Their traditional look and feel appeals to those who prefer a conventionally styled casket with sustainable origins.

Available untreated, waxed or stained to a mahogany or rimu colour, TaylorMade also craft matching solid wood handles.

More companies are producing natural caskets in response to increased consumer demand.  Designs range from award winning, contemporary casket from Return to Sender and TenderRest to the traditional by Down to Earth and TaylorMade.
